A 21 year-old East Palo Alto resident was shot in the city on Tuesday, September 20 about 1:47 p.m. The victim is identified as Jonathan Pittman. According to the East Palo Alto Police, Pittman was reportedly shot in or near the 2500 block of Illinois Street.

When police officers arrived at the location to investigate, they reported that they could not find a victim.

The police department later discovered that Pittman had been driven to Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City where he died from his wounds.

East Palo Alto Police request that anyone with information about the crime contact the East Palo Alto Police Department by one of the following methods:
