The latest crime statistical report released this week by the East Palo Alto Police Department shows that crime in East Palo Alto continues to drop.
In all major areas, including homicide, rape, robbery, assault, assault with a firearm, burglary, and larceny, total crime was down by 26%.
The report showed that crime had increased in only one area: motor vehicle thefts, which showed an increase of 5%.
Last year in February 2010, there were three areas in which crime had increased: motor vehicle thefts, burglary and larceny.
This latest crime report is consistent with the comprehensive crime report, called Crime Trends in the City of East Palo Alto, released in December 2010, which concluded that crime in East Palo Alto has been trending downward for the past 22 years.
The lastest crime statistical report is shown in its entirety below.
