The Frank Greene Celebration of Life Committee met last week and made final its plans for a Celebration Program for the late Frank S. Greene, Jr., Ph.D. Here are the key details:
- The Celebration of Life Program will be a two-part event: a one-hour celebration ceremony followed by a one-hour reception with refreshments and musical selections
- Saturday March 6, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Celebration of Life Ceremony, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.--Mission Santa Clara University Church, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, 95053
- Reception, 2:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.-- Williman Room, Benson Memorial Center, Santa Clara University, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, 95053
- The Greene Family and the Committee welcome friends and associates of Dr. Greene to the Ceremony. Guests must enter the University from the main entrance on El Camino Real , stop at the kiosk for a parking permit and proceed to a space as close to the Church as possible. Since seating is limited, guests are advised to arrive as early as 1 p.m. The Celebration Program will start promptly at 1:30 p.m.
- Communications for the Greene Family should be addressed to Debra Watkins, Co-Chair of the Committee at P.O. Box 3134, San Jose, CA 95156.
- Committee communications should be sent to Hugh Burroughs, Communications Director of the Committee, at hcburroughs@sbcglobal.net
- Contributions will be accepted for two of Dr.Greene’s favorite charitable organizations:
- Dr. Frank S. Greene Scholars Program: Checks should be made payable to the California Alliance of African American Educators, and mailed to P.O. Box 3134, San Jose, CA 95156.
- Fr.Paul Locatelli Endowed Minority Scholarship Fund, Santa Clara University: Checks should be made payable to the University, with reference to the Locatelli Scholarship Fund, and mailed to: Office of the President, Santa Clara University, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053.
